Our Gap year minus 46 weeks

We are planning our Amazing American Adventure. This planning started 2 years ago but is ramping up with excitement and all the possibilities we may encounter with lots of ideas on where to go and what to see. We are all about the experience and I feel that I have overdosed on the ‘must eat stay and play’ of the cities we are visiting.

Planning a long trip can be a daunting task. Where do you begin? It’s easy to get overwhelmed in the beginning, especially when you haven’t done something like this. I am blessed that we are travelling with friends who have visited the states before.

We have watched the countdown on our apps, set up a viber group chat held 2 team meetings so that 4 couples on a 6 week trip visiting 7 cities including a Caribbean cruise plus a 50th birthday and a local wedding can see as much of the USA as we can !!

I’m exhausted just doing the numbers !

It really will be a trip of numerous travel styles such as planes, cars, trains, trams, big boats and little boats plus a couple of New York yellow taxis

We have planned to visit –

San Francisco

San Diego

Los Angeles

New Orleans

Miami

Cruise the Carribean with Royal Carribean Cruises

New York

Las Vegas

Cabo Mexico

Where have you been to in the States and what should be on our to do list ?

Here’s the blurb about my big life and I’m so glad that you are here.

My traveling life started 25 years ago leaving my hometown of Broken Hill (not knowing how to use a washing machine) to take the right of passage (now referred to as a gap year) to live work and travel through Europe.
