29th May CaranavalDESTINATIONS, United StatesFirst stop – San FranciscoMay 25 2016

I have never travelled to the States before but our first stop is San Francisco

This trip to San Francisco has been a busy introduction to our American Adventure. I envisaged that I would be relaxing at Fisherman’s wharf and eating all types of seafood while being chauffeured via cable car through this amazing city. I think it will be more like eating seafood gumbo from a bread bowl and riding on the side of the cable car like it was a roller coaster. We arrive in time for Carnaval and so my first purchase will be some feathers and glitter to dress like some of the locals and join in the party.

This is a snap shot of our plans for the first 48 hours in San Francisco.

I want to see :

Carnaval

Alcatraz

Cable car ride Hyde St

Bike ride over Golden Gate Bridge to Fishermans wharf

Union Square

I want to eat:

Sourdough bread

Crepes

Chowder at Fishermans wharf

Fried pork potstickers at Chinatown

Any food in the Mission district

Tacolicious  in the Mission District for great cocktails and tacos.

We are staying at:

Air B&B

What should I add to our San Fran list ?

Here’s the blurb about my big life and I’m so glad that you are here.

My traveling life started 25 years ago leaving my hometown of Broken Hill (not knowing how to use a washing machine) to take the right of passage (now referred to as a gap year) to live work and travel through Europe.
